Practice exams simulate the real BACB RBT certification exam. They are available as standalone purchases or as part of a bundle, and they can also be accessed as part of the full video course package.
How Practice Exams Work
Each practice exam is a standalone timed session. When a student opens a practice exam:
- A confirmation prompt appears before the exam begins
- The exam timer starts counting down from 90 minutes
- Questions are displayed one at a time
- The student selects an answer and may proceed to the next question
- The exam ends when either:
– All questions are answered, or – The timer reaches zero
- Results are shown immediately after the exam ends

Scoring
Practice exams display results at the end, including:
- Number of correct answers

Practice exams do not issue a certificate — they are preparation tools only.
Final Exam (Video Course)
Students who purchase the full RBT Video Course take a final exam as the last step before certificate eligibility. The final exam has different specifications from the standalone practice exams.

Non-scored questions: Ten questions per exam are included for calibration purposes and do not affect the student’s score. Students are not told which questions are non-scored, which mirrors the format of the real BACB exam.
Retaking Exams
Both practice exams and the final exam can be reset and retaken.
- For standalone practice exams, the exam resets and a new attempt can be started at any time
- For the final exam, resetting clears all previous answers and the student starts from the beginning
- Retakes count toward total time-on-task hours
Practice Exam Time and Hours
Time spent on practice exams counts toward the 40-hour minimum required for certificate eligibility. The platform calculates practice time based on actual time elapsed during the exam session.
