This guide walks a new student through the complete path from creating an account to downloading their certificate of completion.

Step 1: Choose a Product

Visit getrbttraining.com and select the product that fits your goals.

Step 2: Create an Account and Purchase

1. Select your product and click Add to Cart
2. Proceed to checkout
3. Enter your name, email address, and payment information
4. Complete the purchase

An account is automatically created using the email you provide. You will receive a confirmation email with your login credentials.

Step 3: Log In to the Student Application

1. Go to app.getrbttraining.com
2. Enter your email and password
3. You will be taken to My Content, where your purchased product appears

Step 4: Complete Eligibility (Video Course Only)

If you purchased the RBT Video Course, you must complete the eligibility step before accessing any content.

1. Open the course from My Content
2. You will be directed to the Eligibility page
3. Upload:

– Proof that you are at least 18 years old (government-issued ID or birth certificate) – Proof of a high school diploma or equivalent (diploma, transcript, or GED)

1. Submit the documents
2. Wait for an administrator to review and validate your submission

You will receive a notification once your eligibility is confirmed and your course is unlocked.

Step 5: Begin the Course

Once eligible, return to My Content and open your course.

• Topic 1 is now unlocked and ready to start
• Click Watch Video to begin the first lesson
• The platform tracks your progress automatically from this point forward

Work through each topic in order:

1. Watch the video lesson
2. Pass the topic quiz
3. Use the AI study assistant if needed
4. Move to the next topic

Step 6: Take Practice Exams (Optional)

If you have access to practice exams (standalone or bundled):

• Go to My Content and open the practice exam
• Confirm you are ready to begin — the timer starts immediately
• Answer all questions within the 90-minute window
• Review your results when complete

Practice exam time counts toward your 40-hour total.

Step 7: Complete the Final Exam (Video Course)

After finishing all topics, the final exam becomes available.

1. Navigate to the Final Exam section in your course
2. Confirm you are ready — the 90-minute timer begins
3. Answer all 250 questions
4. Submit when finished or when time expires
5. Review your results

You need 175 out of 250 points to pass. If you do not pass, you can reset and retake the exam.

Step 8: Enter Your BACB Number

After passing the final exam:

1. You will be prompted to enter your BACB number
2. This number will appear on your certificate
3. If you do not have a BACB number yet, you may skip this step and return later

Step 9: Download Your Certificate

When all five requirements are met, the certificate becomes available:

1. Navigate to Certificate in your course
2. Confirm all requirements show as completed
3. Click Download Certificate
4. Your PDF certificate opens or downloads immediately

You’re Done

Your certificate of completion confirms that you have:

• Completed 40 hours of BACB-aligned RBT training
• Passed the final exam with a score of 175 or higher
• Met all eligibility requirements

Your next steps toward full RBT certification through the BACB are:

1. Complete the RBT competency assessment with a qualified BCBA
2. Complete the required supervised fieldwork hours
3. Apply for your RBT credential at bacb.com
